MARINE FORECAST FOR SEAS AROUND CURAÇAO:
.

Synopsis:
During the next 24 hours, atmospheric conditions in our region remain relatively
humid. However, no significant precipitation is expected on our island and it is
expected that this will remain mainly north of the ABC islands. Also, the
difference in pressure will gradually decrease in the coming days and meaning
that wind will become less strong along with slightly calm sea conditions.

Weather:
Light to partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers in the morning. However,
it is expected to be dry for much of the day.

Visibility:
15 to 25 kilometers in a slight hazy condition.

Winds:
Easterly and gentle to moderate; force 3 to 4 (12 to 30 km/h, 7 to 16 knots).
Occasionally fresh in gusts; force 5 (31 to 39 km/h, 17 to 27 knots).

Seas:
Moderate with wave heights of 1 to 1.5 meters (3 to 5 feet). The highest waves
are expected of the northern and northwestern open seas.

Variable directions and light to gentle; force 2 to 3 (7 to 19 km/h, 4 to 10
knots).
In and around showers moderate in gusts in showers; force 4 (20 to 30 km/h, 11

Synopsis...An old frontal trough persists across the Atlantic
north of the region along about 25N and into the central
Bahamas. Moderate to fresh trades and moderate seas across
the central and eastern Caribbean ill persist through today. The
pressure gradient across the region will then relax tonight
through Sat as broad low pressure forms along the trough to the SW
of Bermuda and shifts east-northeastward throughout the week,
leading to overall weaker winds and diminishing seas across the
Caribbean basin.
