MARINE FORECAST FOR SEAS AROUND CURAÇAO:
.

Synopsis:
During the next 24 hours our weather is affected by a disturbance at high levels
of the atmosphere and also a tropical wave that continues to move westward,
moving away from our island. Despite this, there is still some potential for
possible development of clouds with some showers in our region during the day.
Furthermore, wind flow will maintain a generally moderate strength over the next
few days with a relatively tranquil sea.

Weather:
Partly to occasionally cloudy with a chance of some local showers during the
day.

Visibility:
20 to 30 kilometers. Tempo 5 to 8 km in possible showers.

Winds:
East to southeast and gentle to moderate; force 3 to 4 (12 to 30 km/h, 7 to 16
knots). Occasionally fresh in gusts; force 5 (31 to 39 km/h, 17 to 21 knots).

Seas:
Moderate with wave heights between 1 and 1.5 meter (3 and 5 feet). The highest
waves are over the exposed sea area.

.
Local wind forecast for the next 48 hours:
Easterly and gentle to moderate; force 3 to 4 (12 to 30 km/h, 7 to 16 knots).
Occasionally fresh in gusts; force 5 (31 to 39 km/h, 17 to 21 knots).
.

Synopsis.....The pressure gradient between the Atlantic ridge and
the Colombian low will continue to support pulsing fresh to
strong trades and rough seas across the south-central Caribbean
through the forecast period. Gentle to moderate winds and slight
to moderate seas will prevail elsewhere, with the exception of
moderate to fresh E winds in the Gulf of Honduras late today
through Tue.
